Huge ROI gains for convenience store makeover

 

We helped Dash In Convenience store stand out on the street front with new signage fit-out, increasing their foot traffic and ultimately leading to a profitable sale.

In 2020, Talha and Alina Rehman, the owners of the convenience store, reached out to us with the goal to revamp their store's branding plan. A year earlier the existing Lucky 7 convenience store was converted to a new brand, Dash In. Now the client wanted to elevate the store's look and feel, which is where we came in.

Our team at Studio Riz worked with their new logo and built out the branding to execute the fit-out, design, and layout of the exterior and interior of the store. The original Lucky 7 signage was not attractive and utilised low-resolution imagery that did not attract attention. We conducted market research on what innovative companies were doing around the world, keeping in mind the client's budget, and found a cost-effective solution that focused on how customers could interact with their store. 

This is where we pushed their bold colouring, with sharp accents and clean icons, to elevate the convenience store look to make it stand out from the street front. There was careful planning around how people passed and interacted with the store to highlight the full range of products and services they had to offer. For instance, creating a clear list on their front window and a series of replaceable A4 poster frames to highlight current specials to passers-by.

We also created a sub-brand to differentiate between the convenience and cafe parts of the business, a similar concept adopted by McDonald’s and McCafe. This helped to bring to life an outdoor oasis area where customers could eat from their cafe options or smoke their shisha orders.

The final result was impressive, with the client extremely happy with the outcome. It helped Dash In Convenience store stand out, making their store feel premium and helping to increase their foot traffic. In 2022, the Rehman's managed to sell their store to an eager investor, securing an amazing profit on their initial investment into the store.
